A former U.S. Marine, current SWAC swimming coach, and triathlete,
Cody R. Williams has dedicated his life to the service of others. After serving active duty from 1996-2001 in the Marine Corps and achieving recognition and awards for his leadership and dedication while serving abroad, Cody enrolled at Indiana University-Bloomington where he graduated with a B.A. in Political Science and minors in both English and Environmental Management. While at IU Bloomington, he was actively involved in leadership positions with the Council for Environmental Stewardship and the IU student government.

Upon graduation from IU, he worked as a Title Examiner for a local title company and then enrolled at New England Law | Boston in 2006. During law school, Cody focused his studies and internships in the areas of real estate transactions, environmental law, title review, land use and zoning, nonprofit and business law. He served as an intern for the Massachusetts’ Department of Environmental Protection in the areas of land use, zoning, and title review and as a law clerk for the City of Chelsea, MA City Attorney’s office. While at New England Law, Cody rose to the position of President of the Environmental Law Society after being voted by his peers to lead the group.

Upon graduation from law school, he begin working as an Attorney and Commercial Manager for a Fort Wayne title company, where he focused on title review, drafting all legal documents necessary to close both residential and commercial real estate transactions, and closing commercial real estate transactions. After serving for one year in this position, Cody and his wife Lindsay, formed the law firm of Franklin & Williams, P.C. with a focus in real estate transactions, nonprofit law, business law, legal document preparation, and family law.
